A wonderful jazz vocalist famous in the mid-west, Janet commissioned me to write an arrangement of Cole Porter’s “Love For Sale,” featured here on this Billie Holiday tribute album. Also features two former saxophone teachers of mine: Tom Washatka and Woody Mankowski.

Features myself on classical tenor saxophone with the Lawrence University Saxophone Ensemble. Rogers is a wonderful composer who teaches at Arizona State University. Lawrence commissioned him to write “Two Views” for the sax ensemble and Lawrence percussion ensemble. It is a great piece of new music. The entire CD is an engaging and inspired project.
